Parry, Thomas was born at Llandegveth, near Caerleon. Is an alderman of the Newport Corporation, having been elected a councillor in 1894, and was mayor of the borough for the year ending November, 1908. He has, since its formation in 1889, been a member of the Monmouthshire County Council. In addition to being an auctioneer and valuer, he is the superintendent registrar of births, deaths and marriages for Newport district. He is the managing director of the St. Julians Brick and Tile Co. Limited, is a magistrate for both the borough and county, and was president of the Newport Chamber of Commerce in 1899.
